TYROLEN -The home of Muskelrock
Tyrolen is a classic amusement park built in 1962. In the 60s and 70s all the people from the nearby villages came to Tyrolen to dance and have fun. A lot of famous swedish and foreign artists played at Tyrolen and it was often 2000-3000 people in the park on a saturday night.
Some of the artists that have performed at Tyrolen are Bill Haley, Emile Ford, Millie Small, Mike Landon, Jerry Williams, Sven-Ingvars, Hep Stars, Thages, Pugh, Hoola Bandoola band and many others.
The park was closed for many years and in 2008 the association Tyrolens Vänner (Friends of Tyrolen) bought Tyrolen.
Tyrolens Vänner arrange a lot of different events during the summer and Muskelrock is one of the main events.
